Thank you to all the parents and students who came out yesterday for the Meet the Teacher event! It was such a nice introduction to the class and to you all, and I look forward to getting to know the parents and students who did not have an opportunity to come by. I've posted the small handout I gave out yesterday under "Class Materials," so if you didn't have a chance to stop by, or if you lost your original copy, you can find it there.
A few of you had some questions about how I would be communicating with you this school year. I set this Weebly page up as a blog so that you can have regular updates on the class, from class projects, activities, issues and anything else that would go in a traditional newsletter. I'll be posting fairly regularly, so I encourage both parents and students to stop by to keep up to date on class goings-on. If you need reminders when new content is posted, you can sign up using your email under "Sign up for updates on new posts" in the right sidebar. Comments will not be allowed on posts, but if you have any questions, concerns or opinions on anything having to do with the class, the blog, or individual posts, you can email me at [email protected]. I look forward to sharing all the fun and secretly educational things I have planned for this year, Ms. Chutkan Get excited! The 2016-2017 year is beginning, and this page will be your one-stop shop for everything 8th grade science. On this blog, you'll find updates on the class activities and experiments we'll be doing in class, as well as access to notes, handouts, schedules, and everything else you'll need to be successful this year.
Take a look around, become familiar with the class, and get ready to immerse yourself in the wonder of science. I'm very excited about this school year, and I have no doubt that it will be a productive, successful and fun experience for you! Ms. Chutkan |
